The problem
Buying a pre-owned Hermès or Chanel bag means checking half a dozen resale platforms, each with its own search, filters, and pricing quirks. Retourné Index collapses that into a single, comparable view.
What I built
- Aggregated search across established resale marketplaces, normalized into one consistent index.
- A search-first experience. The landing page is the search bar — with curated starting points like the Hermès Kelly 28 for buyers who browse by icon.
- Accounts with saved items — bookmarks and favorites for tracking specific bags across platforms.
- An editorial identity. Serif wordmark, restrained palette, zero clutter — the interface stays out of the product's way, like the brands it indexes.
- Affiliate monetization, disclosed transparently on-site.
